It was great to see a couple of WorldLUG members travelling all the way to Canberra for Brickexpo, where they exhibited a couple of fantastic MOC’s. Brickexpo is run by Canberra’s CLUG, and donates the proceeds of the expo to the Canberra Hospital.
WorldLUG members were active in exhibiting at Inside The Brick’s recent exhibition in Williamstown, with some fantastic models on display. There were several trophies for the different exhibitor categories, including Best in Show which was won by World LUG member Shelly Timson.
The Melbourne LEGO Train Club sets up a display at the AMRA model train show each year, with some of the content provided by WorldLUG members. One of this years highlights was a model of the famous (some would say infamous) Tait Train, better known as the “red rattler”. These trains were the mainstay of the Melbourne suburban train network from the 1920’s until their eventual retirement in the 1980’s. Thanks to Inside the Brick for assisting with the custom printing on the model.
